The Young Players of The Royal Theatre will present 2 one act plays- "Captive Audience" and "Backstage" on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at 7p.m. at the Royal Theatre 111 S. Market Street, Benton, AR. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (60 and older) and $5 for students (college and younger) and are available the day of the shows on a first come first served basis.
Captive Audience is a cautionary fable that tells how Rob and Laura face a menace in their living room: a television that talks back to them and threatens to swallow them whole. Cast includes Tye Davis, Abby Windsor, Ben Mills, and Reagan Hammonds with direction by Tye Davis.
We all know that the real drama in a theatre takes place backstage lines and plot twists fly as fast as you will sell tickets in this theatrical farce where over-the-hill prima donnas reign-or they think they do-and most of the rest of the cast is betting on who comes out on top. The cast includes Jaelun Thomas, Lauren Long, Libby Golleher, Anslee Clay, Noah Lee, Carson Clay, Julianne Flora, Spring Hicks, Addison Lumpkins, Cadence Earles, Cody Thomas, Hannah-Grace Fritz, Josie Green, and Sam Koch. Michael Bartholmey is direction the production.
